ANATOMI

Anatomi adalah ilmu yang mempelajari struktur tubuh melalui pemotongan ( dissecting )

Anatomi terbagi 2

1. Systemic Anatomy

       Undergraduate courses are taught systemically, mainly because physiology is taught along with   anatomy.

     2. Regional Anatomy

       Medical school courses are taught regionally.  Dissection of a cadaver is best done in this manner.


Anatomical Terminology

Directional.

1. Anterior      = front      
2. Ventral       = belly side
3. Posterior    = behind
4. Dorsal        = back  = behind.
5. Cranial       = toward the head --- Chest is cranial to the abdomen.
6. Superior     = above ( when referring to standing human body superior is equivalent to cranial)
7. Caudal      = toward the tail
8. Inferior      = below; at a lower level.
9. Medial       = toward the mid line
10. Lateral       = away from midline
11. Proximal    = toward the central of the body
12. Distal         = away from the central of the body.
13. Superficial = toward body surface.                 
14. Profundus = away from body surface.
